A busy few weeks

This post will be picture free...
but I thought it was time for an update...
We have had a BUSY few weeks.
The beginning of the month, Kate had a series of tests
at UNC Chapel Hill to see what is going on
with her little body and why she continues
to have Urinary Tract infections...
they showed that all is good, but I don't
know that they answered the big question
as to why she still has the infections about every 6 weeks...
her kidneys look good, which was a source of concern,
so that is good. We have to go back there just before Christmas!!!
On the 8th of the month,
we moved all of our stuff out of our townhouse
(on one of the hottest days of the year, I might add)
and into a truck from Groen Enterprises (where Ed works)
to store it for a week. Then on the 11th,
we signed the papers to sell the townhouse,
which left us officially homeless
(thanks to Mom and dad we were not on the streets though :) ).
The 13th ---it was even Friday, the 13th,
we signed the papers to buy our new house!!!
We moved everything in that evening and spent the weekend
(my birthday weekend, I might add) unpacking and settling in.
The following Monday, we had VBS at church,
which both girls attended and I helped with snacks again!!!
We had about 90 kids attend and I hope left some
seeds to grow in their hearts and minds.
Then last Saturday and Sunday,
we did preparations for my sister,
Lydia's wedding on Sunday (see next post)...
So that is the update from here...hopefully
I'll remember to send house pics when we are more settled and rested :)

Going to the chapel and she got MARRIED

On Sunday evening, my little (of course all my sisters are my
"little sisters" since I am the oldest) sister,
Lydia married her prince charming, a great guy named Scott.
Abbie, Ed and I were all in the wedding which made for some
interesting arrangements for childcare for Kate
(thankfully, Ed's brother and sister-in-law came and stayed
the weekend to help out---THANKS GUYS!!!)
The wedding was beautiful and went off with very few "issues"
(but what wedding has no issues ??? :),
including the weather as it was supposed to be an outside wedding
and the weathermen were calling for rain/thunderstorms,
but with much prayer, everything was good.
Lydia looked GORGEOUS and Scott didn't look too bad either...
Here are some pics of the day... Ed and I walking up the aisle
Abbie and her cousin Emma....
they thought this was so much fun!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Farmer
out of order, I know, but I like this one of

Fun with the girls (And the camera)

WARNING>>>PICTURE LADEN BLOG
A couple weeks ago, Kate got a sand and water table for her birthday
and they have loved it!!! Due to the probable mud that would be
made if we were to put sand AND water together in the table,
we have not done so, but instead put water in both sides,
which gives them their own places to play!!!
They have loved it!!! The other day while they were
enjoying the water table and swingset
(with their bathing suits and Kate in her "shoe waters"), Mommy was enjoying
playing with the settings on her camera.... playing with water
Kate dumping the water as Abbie watches
a sweet smile
too busy to look at the camera

Swingin' Sisters

Here we go again with more pictures of the girls and the swingset...
but it is where they love to spend time!!!
The weather has been great, so we have spent lots of time
outside on the swingset the past couple weeks... The girlies on the swingset
