Lesson #1 What happens when the steering goes out when going around a curve...

Thursday night, the steering went out on the Piece Of Trash
(or P.O.T., as I have called it for some time)
while Ed was going around a curve on the way home from work...
He is fine, but the POT did not fare as well... The rear of the car
Not sure it is supposed to bend that way
the license plate number is embedded in the car???
I am not sure the gas tank is supposed to stick out that far...
The front doesn't look too bad

On the road again

We arrived home the afternoon of the 10th of August,
and left again on the morning of the 11th.
This time it was to spend a few days with Mimi,
Grandad and Auntie Bethany in Florida.
We rode down with them and once again,
we took a few pictures to dialogue our trip.... Abbie sleeping in the car
Kate being silly and sweet in the car

And on the way home...

What else are you supposed to do when you have lots of hours in the
car and you are tired of being there???
Take pictures of your kids, of course :)
At least that is what I love to do...
so here are the pictures from our return trip from WNY Abbie cuddling her beloved Ping in her hat...
she won the hat at the Chinese auction at the reunion the day before...
along with box of other goodies she really didn't want...
she just wanted that silly hat :)

Family Reunion 2008

The real reason for our trip was to go to Ed's family reunion on his mom's side.
It was a really fun day and we all had a great time.
This was the first time we had been there since we got married
(we went the year we got engaged/married).
It was also the first time all four Keesler boys were together in 5 years!!! Ed's cousin, Becky surrounded by the kids...
Abbie is sitting on her lap with the hat on and
Kate is standing with her back to the picture

The grandkids...

L to R, Abbie, Arreil, Makayla, and Katelynne

The Keesler brothers..

Andy, Gordon, Raymond, and Ed

(in reverse order of age)

A visit to Houghton

On August 7, we headed out on a whirlwind trip to WNY to see Ed's family.
While we were there, we took an hour and walked around our alma mater,
Houghton College (it was at Houghton where we met and became close friends/fell in love).
It was a lot of fun to walk around and reminisce as well as see all the changes that
have been made since we were there last.Kate on the path heading toward the chapel
Ed in the newly renovated chapel...it looks so much different...
The girls headed to the science building
Ed and the girls in front of the library
And as usual, a picture of my girlies...
Our 10 year reunion is next July and we are looking forward to it!!
