At the Beach

Hi, all,
I decided that since I hadn't posted anything in a long time, I would post another picture...this one is from a recent trip to the beach. Abbie is in the yellow t-shirt with Katelynne on her lap. The other kids in the picture are my niece and nephew, Emma, 3, and Carter, almost 2. Bye for now...

An update...

Hi, all,
Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while...Here is a new picture of my girls...if you can't tell, I really like them :) Katelynne (or Kate, as I call her) is 11 weeks old today and slept 9 straight hours last night!!! We went to the dr. for her 2 month check up (and shots :( ) last week and she was 12lbs. 15.5oz. and 23 inches long. She is a really happy baby and we have a lot of fun with her. Abbie did something the other day for the first time too...put her face underwater in Mimi's pool...she has been very cautious with water, and so this was a big milestone for her.. We will see how she does when we head to the beach for a week the 6th of August!!! She has also discovered that she loves blueberries, which she calls strawberries. :) That is about all for now. love to you from very hot NC

Star Spangled Sisters

Happy Fourth (a day late),
This is a compilation of pictures I took of the girls yesterday...Abbie thought she was really cute...Katelynne couldn't figure out what the big deal was... and then there is the one of my beautiful girls together. We had a pretty quiet evening of the fourth, since Ed had to work. The girls and I went to a cookout at the church, which was a lot of fun. Then we went to my mom and dad's to get their mail, etc. as they are out of town. The only fireworks I saw were the ones on TV from Boston and the sparkler things that the neighbors were setting off. We'll have to plan better next year so we can go downtown with Daddy. Ed has gotten unexectedly transferred to a new Bojangles store, so we'll have to see how this goes---last night was his first night there...Not much else is going on here, except big time heat and humidity!!!

My little Pirate???

ARRRR,
That was the greeting that we recieved when we entered the "Pyrate Encampment" at the Tall Ships Exhibition...the ships all had their sails down, so they were not pictureworthy, but Abbie LOVES pirates. Let me explain for those of you who are not up on college sports, the mascot for ECU (East Carolina University--the school here in Greenville) is Pee-dee, the Pirate and Abbie has taken a liking to him. Daddy thus decided that she would like the pirate encampment exhibit...boy was he right...according to "Feather", the pirate pictured here with Abbie, she has to come back in 20 years when she is 18 to marry him...by the way that is a knife that they are holding together... She talked about it for the rest of the night :) We also stopped at the beach for a few minutes, but I didn't take the camera...I'll send pics next time since the beach is only 1 and 1/2 hrs.:) It's late now, so Good night

My little baby girl

Hi, all,
Since many of you have seen pictures of Abbie, and or met her, I decided to add a picture of just Katelynne. As you can probably tell, she does not look like her big sister (who looks a lot like I did at her age). Some of my friends say she looks like my Mom (her Mimi), which makes her Mimi so happy. Other than that, things are good here. I am planning on taking the girls to Bojangles (where Ed works) to see Daddy for dinner so maybe we can get some cute pics there to share. We are also going to Morehead City/Beaufort to see the Tall Ships and go to the beach tomorrow, and I will get pictures then for sure.
