The girls and I head south for a Floridian Christmas (I guess we really won't have a white Christmas this year :( ) with my parents and sisters tomorrow, but I thought before we left I would post a quick hello and Merry Christmas to you all. Things here are going well. The girls are good and getting bigger and more fun every day. They are so much fun to watch as they play together!!!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Remember in all the busyness of this week that it is the babe in the manger that we are celebrating, NOT the gifts under the tree.(more pics when we get back...ok, here is one, mostly because I think they are so cute :) )

Ed had today off, so I made an appointment to have the girls' pictures taken (together), mostly because I think they are cute. What a disaster it turned out to be!!! Our (first) appointment was at 11:30 this morning and we showed up promptly, and proceeded to get the girls ready for their pictures. Well, the first few were ok, but the photographer had them off center, and I decided that if I was going to pay for pictures, I was going to get what I wanted. By that time, Abbie was tired of holding Katelynne and smiling, and Katelynne was just tired, so what followed was about 15-20 minutes of bribes (I promised myself pre-kids I would never do that), promises, etc., we had nothing but screaming kids and harried parents. So, we decided to try later/tomorrow; but Daddy had to get his car that was being fixed in the afternoon, so we tried again this afternoon, which was a much better experience (it's amazing what a little food and sleep will do for my little girls). Here are the fruits of our labors--we had one compromise and that was the basketball you see in the picture of just Abbie...she thought she just had to have it in there, so I agreed.
Today is December 4th, and it is Abbie's long awaited birthday!!! I think she has been looking forward to today since December 5th of last year. It is so hard for me to believe that she is really 3 years old!!! It seems like it was yesterday that I was getting up in the night and rocking her...where did the time go. I am sad that she is growing so fast, but happy that she is, for the most part, becoming a sweet little girl. I hope and pray that God will give her daddy and I the wisdom to raise her to be a woman after His heart... The top picture was taken at her Dora birthday party on Sat. night with her friends. The bottom one was taken this morning when she was opening her gifts from Mommy, Daddy and Katelynne.
