On the 10th, three days before Katelynne's surgery, our little playgroup took a trip to the fire station. This was Abbie's first trip to the actual station, although she has seen fire trucks at parades, etc. Not being fond of loud noises (not unlike her mother) I wondered what she would think about going to the fire station, but she loved it, that is until they started the truck---the engine, not the sirens.
As you can tell in the top picture she (and her cousin, Emma) made themselves right at home in the lounge area...
The bottom picture shows the little hats that the firemen gave each one of the kids and the fact that my 2 (almost 3) year old has her own ways of doing things...
