Here is a recent picture of Daddy and his girls...As you can see in the picture, Abbie has gotten glasses. We discovered, after almost 3 years of her having issues with steps, etc., that she has an astigmatism in both eyes. Grandad (my dad) is actually the one that suggested that it might be her eyes, and so we went and had them tested. (Side note: it is not that surprising that she has glasses as Ed is pretty blind without his, and I have a nearsighted eye and a farsighted eye). She is doing pretty well with wearing them, and I think she looks really cute. She had her 3 year (where has the time gone???) check up last week and she is right where she should be in weight and actually tall for her age (38lbs. and 40.5in.).
What you cannot see in this picture is the fact that after 2 months, Katelynne is now TUBELESS!!! We have had an assortment of tubes coming out of our sweet baby, but they are no more!!! She does have a stent in her ureter that will be there until at least January to make sure everything heals right. Praise God!!!! She continues to be a great baby and although her weight percentile dropped from the last visit, tipped the scales at 15lb. 12 oz. at her 6 month check up last week(26.5 in.)!!!
